I know what it’s like to suffer from unresolved past relationships
Many years ago I was in a relationship for 2.5 years that ended because my girlfriend cheated on me. I was then faced with having to see her every week due to our circumstances. That was an incredibly challenging situation that initially had me crawling out of my skin!
Years later I had a relationship that felt so incredibly right that I thought that she was The One. It was so good in so many ways, yet it had one fatal flaw that ultimately ended our relationship. Eventually, I came to realize that I was subconsciously comparing my later partners to that “ideal love.” Over time my memory of how good it was grew until there was no possibility that anyone could ever live up to it…

Many people don’t realize how strongly their love lives can be affected by attachments to past relationships, even relationships many years in the past! On the other hand, you may be painfully aware of how hugely past relationships are impacting your life. You may be having a really tough time getting over the pain of a bad relationship, or you may be struggling to let go of a great love.
Your attachments to past relationships can carry over as “emotional baggage,” contaminating your current or future relationships. These attachments can be subtle energetic bonds that tie up your heart, making it hard to find a new relationship or be fully open to your present one. You are just not fully available to love in your life.
Then I found something that helped me break free
So, what did I do about these difficult situations? For the relationship that ended with infidelity I worked with a therapist who used a special 6-Step “Goodbye Process” to help me get over her. This process helped me release all of my anger, hurt, fear, regret, and release all of the pain. I was able to get final resolution and move on, without having to talk to my ex-girlfriend. I could then encounter her each week feeling relaxed and without pain.
Years later, I used the 6-Step Goodbye Process again to finally let go of my “ideal love.” The process helped me to break the emotional and spiritual bonds with her so that I could be free to love again. What a relief!
